SIBU, Nov 20: Sibu MP Oscar Ling has called upon family members of victims involved in scam parks in Myanmar to reach out to him to bring the victims home.

In a statement today, Ling said he would collect the victims’ names and submit them to the relevant ministries to reconfirm these lists to ensure that none were left behind.

“Families of the victims can submit the information to the DAP (Democratic Action Party) headquarters in Taman Rajang, Sibu.

“The information covers the victim’s personal information such as their name, identity card number, passport, gender, and their last known location,” he said.

Further elaborating, Ling said that he has received information from some of the victims’ family members saying that some victims have fled the scam park, while the Myanmar military has detained some.

Therefore, he called on the Malaysian government to negotiate with the Myanmar authorities to rescue all Malaysians deceived into the scam parks and return them to their hometowns.

At the same time, Ling also reminded the public not to easily believe job advertisements on the Internet or foreign jobs that offer attractive conditions because these are likely to be enticed by illegal fraud groups. — DayakDaily
