BAU, Aug 28: Serembu assemblyman Miro Simuh says increasing the income of the constituents through economic activities will be his next target.

He said this will be implemented through the construction of food stalls and building farm roads in the area.

This, he pointed out was made possible, having brought physical development to the area.

“When we talk about physical development in the area like connecting villages and electricity and water supply, all the 44 villages have already connected with road and some houses have the road tar-sealed right to their doorstep.

“So the next phase of development is to increase the income of the people through economic activities and building farm roads to allow the people to engage in agricultural activities,” he said.

He said this at the meet-the-people session, handing over of Kenyalang Gold Card and opening of the Multipurpose Hall at Kpg Puak, here, officiated by Assistant Minister of Corporate Affairs Abdullah Saidol.

According to Miro, all the 44 villages in the constituency are now connected with road.

He also called on the people in the area to continue to support the state government under Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS).

“GPS government, being a component of local political parties really looks after the interest of the people,” he pointed out.—DayakDaily
