KUCHING, Sept 30: Sarawak Governor Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar today received a farewell courtesy call from outgoing Sarawak Police Commissioner Datuk Mohamad Zainal Abdullah at Astana Negeri Sarawak here.
According to the Sarawak Public Communications Unit (UKAS), Wan Junaidi and his wife, Toh Puan Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, received Mohamad Zainal, who was appointed director of the Bukit Aman Management Department effective Sept 15.
Mohamad Zainal, a Sarawakian, had served as Sarawak Police Commissioner since September last year before being transferred to Bukit Aman, succeeding Datuk Seri Abdul Aziz Abdul Majid, who was appointed Deputy Inspector-General of Police.
The courtesy call was held in conjunction with Mohamad Zainal’s transfer to his new post at the federal police headquarters.
Also present were his wife, Datin Dr Nitce Isa Medina Machmudi Isa; Sarawak Management Department chief SAC Zulkipli Suhaili; Sarawak Criminal Investigation Department chief SAC Kumarasan Muniandy; and Police Family Association (PERKEP) secretary ASP Rathna Borhan. – DayakDaily
