KUCHING, March 23: Sarawak federal civil servants will receive their RM500 special incentive in May, instead of June this year.
A press statement from the Sarawak State Secretary’s Office said all 126,000 federal civil servants in the state will benefit from the incentive announced by Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg on Dec 4 last year, at the State Civil Service Day.
Initially, Abang Johari said the bonus would be channelled by June 2020.
When making the announcement, he said that benefactors of the special aid, many of whom are teachers, health officers, police personnel and especially those giving service to the rural area, should be recognised for their services to the state. — DayakDaily
