KUCHING, Nov 20: Sarawak Civil Service members will receive a special monthly allowance based on their grade groups, starting January 2025.
Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg said he had announced that the Sarawak government will adopt the Public Service Remuneration System (SSPA) introduced by the Federal government.
This, he said, will involve improvements and adjustments to the salaries of all civil service members in Sarawak.
“In addition to the salary adjustments under the SSPA, starting January 2025, the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) government has also agreed to introduce and provide a special monthly allowance for Sarawak civil service members based on their grade groups.
“(They are) RM400 for the Implementation Group, Grade 1 to Grade 4; RM500 for the Implementation Group, Grade 5 to Grade 8; RM600 for the Management and Professional Group, Grade 9 to Grade 15; and RM700 for the Senior Management Group,” he said when presenting his ministerial winding-up speech in the Sarawak Legislative Assembly (DUS) sitting here today. — DayakDaily
