KUCHING, March 24: The agricultural, livestock, fishery and aquaculture sectors are not required to get special permits to send their produce to market.

The Sarawak State Disaster Management Committee (JPBN) in a statement today clarified that the above sectors are exempted from the Movement Control Order (MCO), which requires all business premises in the state to close from 7pm until 7am.

As for journalists and those in the media fraternity, they may produce their media pass issued by the Information Department to police personnel manning any roadblocks.

However, editorial, printing press staff and newspaper delivery workers need to produce letters from their employers to prove that they need to work outside the permitted time.

Meanwhile, government employees must comply with the circular issued by the State Secretary via official letter 11/JKM/SHRU/TM/500-3/5/1/2/JLD.3 dated March 19, 2020 and directives from their respective Head of Department. — DayakDaily
