Zone 1 refers to Covid-19 yellow zones in Sarawak, for instance Kuching, Serian and Samarahan. Zone 2, on the other hand, refers to Covid-19 green zones including Sri Aman, Betong, Sarikei, Sibu, Kapit, Mukah, Bintulu, Miri and Limbang.

“Free movements are allowed within the zone itself. There will be no road blocks or any permission needed,” Uggah said in a press conference to give Covid-19 updates today.

On a related issue, he also highlighted the reduction of commercial flight from West Malaysia, Sabah and Labuan as the Ministry of Transport Sarawak (MOTS) would be contacting the airline companies on the revised schedule.

“We understand the strategies that we are taking will cause inconvenience and stress, but to all of us these strategies are necessary to ensure the (Covid-19) spike will not rise and the curve will be flattened,” said Uggah. — DayakDaily
