KUCHING, March 7: Members of the public and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) are required to contact the respective Division Disaster Management Committee (DDMC) before sending food donations to areas under Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO).

The State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC), in its daily Covid-19 update today, urged those who wish to send donations to EMCO areas not to gather in large groups due to the high-risk of Covid-19 infection.

It was advised to forgo such activities so as to not disturb ongoing operations by relevant authorities.

In the same report, SDMC also announced that Kampung Tringgus in Bau would be under EMCO effective 12.01 midnight March 8 until 11.59pm March 21.

Similarly under EMCO, Kampung Serumah in Padawan will begin its 14-day lockdown starting today until March 20, as was announced yesterday (March 6). — DayakDaily
