SIBU, Jan 8: Police here are looking for the next-of-kin of a 61-year-old man who collapsed and died while frying chicken in his rented room at Jalan Maju on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Eddie Haron of Kampung Gita, Kuching.
Sibu district police chief, ACP Stanley Jonathan Ringgit said at about 1.15pm on Monday (Jan 6), the police received a call from a neighbour who saw him unconscious in the kitchen.
“An initial investigation revealed that there was no break-in into the room on the second floor of the building.
“There was also no injury mark on the deceased’s body. However he has a history of heart problems,” he said.
The body has been brought to the Sibu Hospital mortuary for a post-mortem. — DayakDaily
