Petros contributes RM1 mln to Sabati to conduct education activities for rural students

KUCHING, Nov 19: Petroleum Sarawak Berhad (Petros) has given RM1 million to Association of Wives of Ministers and Deputy Ministers of Sarawak (Sabati) to conduct education activities for students in rural areas.

In making this announcement, Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg said apart from that, Sarawak government will also give RM300,000 to the association.

“With this contribution, Sabati can reach out to the less fortunate, particularly in terms of helping our students,” he said after launching the Laila Gallery at Wisma Sabati along Jalan Bako here today.

He added that Sabati has also received contributions from Petroliam Nasional Berhad (PETRONAS) previously to improve rural healthcare. — DayakDaily
