MIRI, Jan 10: The establishment of Perdana Petroleum Berhad (Perdana Petroleum) branch in Miri is a testament to the city’s growing importance as a hub for the oil and gas sector.

The presence of such a reputable company contributes significantly to our local economy, bringing with it a wealth of knowledge, opportunities and advancement in the field besides employment of Sarawakians,” said Miri Mayor Adam Yii.

Perdana Petroleum’s commitment to corporate responsibility, Yii said, aligns with Miri’s values which put emphasis on the importance of giving back to the community.

“The establishment of the branch office signifies more than a business decision. It is a shared commitment to the wellbeing and prosperity of our community, Sarawak and Malaysia,” said Yii at the launch of Perdana Petroleum branch office in Miri on Wednesday.
