KUCHING, Oct 1: Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) witnessed the appointment of ten new members to its supreme council.
According to a TVS news report, the party’s secretary-general, Dato Sri Alexander Nanta Linggi, said five were from the Youth Wing and five were from the Women’s Wing.
“This appointment takes into account the party’s growth,” he said at a press conference yesterday (Sept 30).
The press conference was held after the PBB Supreme Council meeting chaired by the party’s president and Sarawak Premier, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.
The five members from the Youth Wing are Afiq Brahim, Malcolm Layang Jimban, Sufian Moha, Nicholas Juib, and Abang Mohd Hafiq Abang Kassim.
The other five from the Women’s Wing are Senator Susan Chemerai Anding, Dato Sri Rohani Karim, Datin Sri Angelina Ujang, Umang Nangku Jabu, and Dr Dayang Nurfizawati.
According to Nanta, who is also the Federal Works Minister, yesterday’s meeting was the first since the addition of its members was approved. — DayakDaily
