KUCHING, Feb 18: Parkson, one of Malaysia’s leading department stores, is shutting down its operations at tHe Spring Mall here after 15 years.
The news first went viral on social media, where Facebook pages have been sharing similar notices.
The notice reads: “Dear all, we regret to advise that due to unforeseen circumstances, we have decided to close Parkson (at) tHe Spring Kuching. The last trading date is on April 24, 2023 at 10pm.”
It also mentioned that the retail store would carry out a clearance sale from April 7-24.
A spokesperson from the shopping mall’s management confirmed the validity of the notice.
“Yes, Parkson at tHe Spring Kuching will be closing in April 2023, but Parkson at tHe Spring Bintulu (mall) remains in operation,” she told DayakDaily today.
Parkson has been around since tHe Spring Mall Kuching opened 15 years ago. — DayakDaily
