KUCHING, Dec 21: A paperwork is being formulated by the authorities to flatten the hill behind Rumah Unsa Skandis Kesit in Lubok Antu as a precautionary measure after it was hit by a landslide, recently.
According to Betong Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), in a statement today, a meeting was held today at the longhouse together with Lubok Antu District Officer, Betong fire station, police, Lubok Antu District Welfare Department and Public Works Department (JKR) in order to solve the problem.
“As the result of the meeting, JKR Sri Aman agreed to prepare a paperwork to flatten the hill behind the longhouse in order to address the landslide problem.
“And it will be handed over to the Sri Aman Division Disaster Committee,” it said.
The statement noted, the landslide however did not warrant any relocation of the longhouse folks. — DayakDaily
