KUCHING, Aug 11: The deputy president of Sarawak Dayak Iban Association (Sadia) Munan Laja announced that he would not seek re-election in its forthcoming Triennial Delegates Assembly (TDA) after holding the post for 12 years.
He revealed this through in a signed statement dated August 8 which also disclosed that he wanted to give way and opportunity for others who have the interest and commitment to serve.
Munan also called for Sadia to start discussing about and looking for who should succeed him.
“I felt honoured to serve Sadia, in its fight for the Dayak Iban Community. I thank everybody who was with me during my tenure as deputy president and wish Sadia all the best in years to come,” he said.
Munan is currently the president of Sarawak Workers Party. — DayakDaily
