DARO, Nov 21: It was a great relief for Johari Yusup’s family members after rescuers found him safe and unharmed this afternoon.
Johari, 30, from Kampung Daro left his home at 9am to look for crabs along Daro river yesterday.
He was reported missing at 9.30pm after he failed to return home.
Fire and Rescue department (Bomba) was alerted of the incident at 12.35am today.
A team of firefighters from Daro station began their initial search along the river until 1.45am before taking a break.
Search operations continued at 6.30am today.
At 12.40pm, operations commander PBK II Mustapha Wasli reported they found Johari some 500 meters from the area where he was fishing for crabs.
Although he was found unharmed, Mustapha said an ambulance sent Johari to the hospital for a medical check-up. -DayakDaily
