Two dead, one injured in Jalan Sibu-Bintulu collision

TATAU, June 27: Two men lost their lives when their four-wheel drive (4WD) vehicle collided with another vehicle at Jalan Sibu-Bintulu today.

They were identified as Billy Andrew, 27, and Henry Jugah, 49.


According to the State Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), the 47-year-old driver of the other vehicle was injured and has been sent to Bintulu Hospital for treatment.

“We received a distress call at 2.25pm concerning a collision between two vehicles,” it said.

It added that the two victims were stuck in the two front seats and extricated using special rescue tools by firefighters from Tatau Station. — DayakDaily
