Miri eatery loses RM1,500 in items to theft

MIRI, Oct 20: An eatery in Taman Merbau lost items worth RM1,500 to unknown individuals on Saturday.

Amongst items stolen in the incident were three gas cylinders and a door fridge.


It was believed that the thieves might have gained entry via the back shutter door.

A police team was despatched to the scene following a report lodged by the premises owner.

According to sources, the 30-something owner had received a call from one of his staff who informed him about the incident around 10am that day.

As of press time, no arrests have been made as police are still investigating. — DayakDaily
