KUCHING, Jan 5: Kuching South City Council (MBKS) mayor Datuk James Chan has been invited to attend the 23rd Asian Television Awards Live Show that will be held at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) on Jan 12.
Asian Television Awards (ATA) Sdn Bhd directors Koh Jik Seng and Pung Siok Eng extended the invitation to Chan personally.
The 23rd Asian Television Awards, which will be held from Jan 11 to 13 at BCCK, will serve as a kick-start to a myriad of colourful and exciting activities in Sarawak this year.
Over the three days of awards and festivals, Kuching, like the Cannes in France, will experience the most prestigious and glamorous awards in the heart of Sarawak. There will be a glittering gala dinner, live show awards, red-carpet arrivals, power-packed stage performances and a concert performed by several groups of popular international talents.
The Asian Television Awards in Sarawak will be broadcast to 22 countries with over 500,000,000 homes across the Asia Pacific.
The event will showcase invited guests from the crème de la crème of the television industry, where over 300 international delegates comprising award-winning film producers, directors, performers, host talents, judges, key sponsors, nominees and celebrities from the participating countries all over Asia.
