KUCHING, Aug 12: The Lundu farmers’ market and the Gading hawker centre is closed to the public from today (August 12) until August 25 for sanitisation and Covid-19 preventive measures.
The Lundu District Council in a notice today said the closure of the two locations was in accordance with Subsection 18(1)(f) of the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988 issued by the Health Ministry today.
It expressed regret for any inconvenience caused.
At the same time, the council reminded the public to adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the prevention of Covid-19 issued by the National Security Council (MKN) and Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC).
It added that failure to abide by SOPs may result in the person being charged in court.— DayakDaily
