RM360,000 in grants distributed to 4 organisations in Mambong

KUCHING, Aug 12: A total sum of RM360,000 was disbursed to four organisations during a handover ceremony at Mambong assemblyman Datuk Dr Jerip Susil’s constituency service centre yesterday.

Among the recipients was the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Kg Emperoh Garung, which received RM250,000 from the Unit for Other Religions (Unifor).


Other recipients comprised Kuching Biperoh Association, which received RM50,000, Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) of Kg Emperoh Nyiru Grait and Sarawak Women’s Association of Kg Annah Rais, each receiving RM30,000.

The ceremony was officiated at by Dr Jerip who is also the Assistant Minister of Transport.

“With the allocation, it will help the associations to plan and execute their activities and other projects for the benefit of the people,” Dr Jerip said.

At the ceremony, he also handed over 50 food baskets to the Association of Army Veterans’ Mambong branch to help members who are affected by Covid-19 pandemic.

Among those present was Sarawak Administrative Officer (SAO) from Padawan sub-district office Julius Scott Sapong. — DayakDaily
