KUCHING, Dec 11: Kuching North City Hall’s (DBKU) ‘Karnival Rindok Ati Lepak’@Tupong Library can contribute to the wellbeing of the local community by providing information on the library’s services and encouraging utilisation.

Tupong assemblyman Fazzrudin Abdul Rahman said such programmes or activities are important to help local residents know about and make the most of the library and DBKU’s facilities and services.

ā€œThis will help the local community to take advantage of and enjoy the services provided by DBKU,ā€ he said during the closing ceremony for the carnival held at Tupong Library, today.

He added that more such programmes and activities in the area would have a positive impact on the physical, economic and social aspects of the local community.

ā€œThis can all be seen in terms of more controlled security, social problems that are decreasing and also various programmes that can further strengthen the relationship between all the citizens of the city and the local community,ā€ he said.

The three-day carnival (Dec 9-11) was held with the collaboration of various strategic partners consisting of local authorities together with local neighbourhoods and communities. ā€” DayakDaily
