KUCHING, Dec 8: A total of 25 local tourism companies, including Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) subsidiary company Tabung Haji Travel & Services Sdn Bhd, received their licenses to operate as Haj Pilgrimage Managers (PJH) for haj Season 1445H/2024M.
TH’s Hajj executive director, Dato’ Sri Syed Saleh Syed Abdul Rahman, in a statement today, said the appointment of the 25 PJHs is in preparation for the Hajj Season 1445H, which is conducted by TH every year.
According to him, this year, the Saudi Arabian government approved 31,600 quotas for Malaysian Hajj Pilgrims, the total quota approved in the last Hajj season.
“As such, TH has handed over the PJH license to companies that are truly qualified and meet the stipulated conditions,” he said.
He added that prospective Haj pilgrims who intend to perform Hajj through PJH should also not hand over any deposit money to the company until they receive the offer letter.
“The offer letter to perform Haj will be issued as soon as possible,” he said.
