Premier of Sarawak Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg has underscored the Ministry of International Trade, Industry, and Investment’s (Mintred) commitment to meet the growing demands of investors, particularly in the electronic and electrical sectors, while actively seeking foreign direct investments (FDI).

“This project would also create more business and employment opportunities for our locals.

“We welcome more companies in their value chain to set up in Sarawak to support your operations in Sarawak,” he said when officiating at the inauguration of Taiyo Yuden (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd new factory in Sama Jaya High Tech Park here today.

“As the development strategy capitalises on data and innovation, Sarawak is on the right track to become a stronger region sustainably, especially with Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles.

As such, Abang Johari emphasised there are ample opportunities across all sectors, both the supply and value chains, beginning from the development of growth enablers to economic activities.
