Kch Fest 2022 gathers RM65,000 worth of donations for 18 charitable bodies

KUCHING, Aug 17: This year’s Kuching Festival Fair (KFF) has successfully gathered a total of RM65,000 worth of donations from its stalls.

KFF Charity Night organising chairman Cr Wilfred Mujah Aton said the amount would be distributed among 18 charitable bodies.


They are Taiwan Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation Malaysia (Kuching), Sarawak Society for the Blind, Sarawak Society for the Deaf, Sarawak Breast Cancer Support Group, Sarawak Chesire Home, Kuching Autistic Association, The Salvation Army, Kuching Life Care Society, The Society for Kuching Urban Poor (SKUP), Wishesland, The Carnation Club of Kuching and Samarahan, The Society for Critically Sick Children, Pertubuhan PDK Sentuhan Kasih Kuching, Pertubuhan Ibu Bapa Kanak-Kanak Keperluan Istimewa Sarawak (PIBAKAT), Sarawak Children’s Cancer Society, Sarawak Hun Nam Siang T’ng, Kuching Palliative Association, and Sarawak Heart Foundation.

Representatives of the 18 charitable bodies were all present to receive their respective amount of contributions from KFF at Kuching South City Council (MBKS) theatre here tonight.

Meanwhile, six donors who contributed the highest amounts to this purpose were also given special appreciation by the organising committee.

Stall No 99 and 100 owner Aaron Tay, who gave away RM12,888 was the biggest donor of KFF 2022, followed by Hon Teck Choi, the representative of Stall No 97 and 98, who donated RM10,888.
