KUCHING, Aug 17: “I am not involved in orchestrating all this,” says Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP) president Dato Sri Dr Sim Kui Hian about Batu Lintang assemblyman See Chee How’s recent resignation from Parti Sarawak Bersatu (PSB).

Dr Sim, who is also Deputy Premier of Sarawak, said he was surprised to hear about See’s decision to quit PSB to become an independent assemblyman.

Regarding See’s future plans, whether to join other local parties such as SUPP, Dr Sim said he could not speculate about See.

“I was very surprised to hear about all these developments. It’s not for me to say, or to speculate anything.

“I’m not involved in orchestrating all this, but I mean, there’s no point (for me) to speculate,” he told reporters when approached at the Kuching Festival prize presentation and charity donations night at MBKS theatre here tonight.

Also present were Kuching South City Council (MBKS) mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng, event organising chairman Cr Wilfred Mujah Aton, and Kuching Festival 2022 organising chairman Cr Goh Tze Hui. — DayakDaily
