SERIAN, Feb 5: A rescue contractor for the Jalan Padawan upgrading project has been identified and is expected to start after the Chinese New Year.

Deputy Minister of Education, Innovation, and Talent Development Sarawak Dato Sri Roland Sagah Wee Inn said the tender board had accepted the rescue contractor for the project.

“The project will start any time after Chinese New Year,” Sagah said after officiating at a State-level mock cheque presentation for a back-to-school aid programme at SK St Peter Simpok today.

Last month, Sagah, who is Tarat assemblyman, said there was a need to find a rescue contractor for the sick project.
