KUCHING, May 4: Jepak assemblyman Iskandar Turkee has been appointed as Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Jepak’s new branch chief.
Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg presented the letter of appointment to Iskandar today prior to the PBB pre-council meeting in conjunction with the Sarawak Legislative Assembly (DUN) sitting at PBB headquarters.
Iskandar successfully defended the Jepak seat for the ruling coalition in the previous by-election with a majority of 8,874 votes in a three-cornered fight in November 2023.
Also present during the presentation of letter of appointment were Deputy Premier of Sarawak Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan and Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas. — DayakDaily
