KUCHING, June 12: Hock Seng Lee (HSL) is bringing more to the table by launching its third phase of single-storey terraced and semi-detached houses at Samariang Aman 3 (SA3) here of the same floor and land sizes, but with improved layouts.
Seeing a strong demand from its buyers with the one-storey units in the two earlier launches all sold out, HSL said SA3 which was only first launched in July, 2020 is currently one of the largest townships near the city centre.
HSL corporate communications officer Lisa Ikram described the heated responses to SA3 as “more than a pleasant surprise” and said it has been good so far.
“We unveiled SA3 in mid 2020. HSL prioritised single-storey units and bookings came fast — over 60 bookings in just a week. By the third quarter last year, we launched a new phase, which again, all single-storey units were sold.
“Since then, we’ve worked quickly to design and get more units approved. We’re very glad to provide what the people want — affordable homes,” she said in a statement today.
With land sizes from 3.6 to 9 points, she added that the terraced houses offer intermediate units starting from 851 square feet with three bedrooms and larger-than-average corner units at 1,155 square feet.
She also noted the additional choices of the new double-storey units in the third phase that are more modern in outlook, on top of those in earlier phases with classical tastes.
Designed by Jurubina Unireka, a Sarawak-based firm notable for Sarawak Energy’s Green Building Index certified new headquarters at Kuching Isthmus, SA3 is an expansion of an established housing area along Jalan Sultan Tengah here.
While it is within walking distance to a Mydin Hypermarket, two schools and mosques, its strategic location is also known to be within 1km from government offices like the Yayasan Sarawak headquarters and next to the picturesque Kuching Wetlands National Park.
Current and future phases of SA3 also feature designs by PDC Group, best known for the Pandelela Rinong Aquatic Centre.
