KUCHING, March 12: During Ramadan month, the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (IRBM or HASiL) has adjusted its counter operation hours at Urban Transformation Centres (UTCs) nationwide, including Sarawak, effective from March 12 to April 9.
According to a media release, the IRBM counters at UTC Sarawak will be open daily from Monday until Sunday, operating from 8am to 4.30pm. There will be no break time, except on Fridays for Friday prayers, observed from 11.45am to 2.15pm.
On the eve of Hari Raya Aidilfitri (April 9), the counters in UTC Sarawak will only operate from 8am to 1pm.
Additionally, the UTC will be closed on April 10 and 11 for the Hari Raya Aidilfitri public holiday.
For the State Consultation Service Counter (Taxation and Stamp Duty) and Satellite Office (General Taxation Advice and Stamp Duty) at IRBM premises, operating hours will be from Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm, with exception for Kedah, Kelantan, Terengganu and Johor, throughout the Ramadan month.
Moreover, the HASiL Reception Management Centre (PPTH) in Kuching for Business Name Registration Certificate payments in cash term only, will operate Monday to Friday from 8am to 3pm.
The HASiL Contact Centre (HCC) will be operational from Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm.
To align with technological advancements and enhance customer service, IRBM emphasises the mandatory use of e-Services for online transactions, accessible through the MyTax Portal service portal since Jan 1, 2024, at www.hasil.gov.my.
