KUCHING: More than 200 Harley Owners Group (HOG) from around the world is expected to experience longhouse life come September this year.
Kuala Lumpur HOG chapter director, TJ Rolan said the participants will blend in with the locals through corporate social responsibility projects.
“We want to have something different and memorable for the participants this year,” said Rolan the launching ceremony of Borneo International Harley Owners Group (HOG) Rally Malaysia.
The Borneo International Harley Owners Group (HOG) Rally Malaysia is jointly organised by the state government and HOG members from Sarawak, Sabah and Labuan.
Chief Minister Datuk Amar Abang Johari in his speech read by Assistant Minister of Youth and Sports Snowdan Lawan said international participants coming from afar to Sarawak shows that the state has potential in motorcycle touring activities in the future.
“We believe motorcycle touring activity will grow exponentially in the state following the increase of motorcycling events held today compared to five years ago. Based on these growth, we would expect more events in the future with the improvement of Pan Borneo Highway,” he said.
Organised by HOG Kuala Lumpur chapter, the event will be held from Sept 30 to Oct 9. – dayakdaily.com
