KUCHING, Nov 15: Early voting for police personnel proceeded today with 1,110 individuals casting their votes for the 15th General Election (GE15) in P195 Bandar Kuching at the badminton hall of the Tabuan Jaya Police Housing Complex today.
According to the Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas), the polling centre will be open from 8am to 5pm with four voting channels to ensure a smooth voting process.
Among the first to cast their votes were Kuching district police chief ACP Ashmon Bajah and Kuching district police headquarters head of district management division DSP Rejali Angong.
Meanwhile, Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) candidate for P195 Bandar Kuching, Tay Tze Kok, was also present to inspect the polling centre and was grateful that the early voting process went smoothly and was kept under control.
When met by the media, he hoped that the voters of P195 Bandar Kuching would give him the opportunity to become their representative.
“I hope that this time the voters in P195 Bandar Kuching will give GPS a chance and an opportunity to be their representative in Parliament.
“The ballot box has not been opened, and we do not know the vote count yet, but I am always positive about all possibilities,” he said.
It is understood that early ballot papers will only be counted on polling day this Nov 19. — DayakDaily
