Foreign women held over vice activities

MIRI, Aug 30: Four foreign women suspected to be in vice trade were rounded up at a premises at Jalan North Yu Seng here at about midnight on Thursday (Aug 29).

The women, aged between 25 and 48, were nabbed by the police during an operation dubbed ‘Ops Noda’.


Miri police chief ACP Lim Meng Seah, who confirmed the arrests today, disclosed that initial investigation found that the premises has been running vice activities.

During the raid, police also seized several sex-related items from the suspects and within the premises.

The case is being investigated under Section 372(B) of the Penal Code and Section 39B of the Immigration Regulations 1959/1963.— DayakDaily
