Many users uploaded photos of their localities being hit on social media, including Kampung Sinar Budi, Kampung Sungai Bedil Besar, Kampung Tabuan Dayak, and Jalan Matang.

Following this, authorities such as the Civil Defence Department (APM) and the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) initiated surveillance of flood-prone areas in both divisions.

In Kampung Sinar Budi Baru, the flood water reached knee height in the afternoon, but the situation has begun to recede.

“Members of the public are advised to remain vigilant and always be careful. Should there be an emergency, they can contact 082-252941 and 082-252940 (APM Kuching),” the report stated.
