KUCHING, Dec 30: Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Youth deputy chief Fazzrudin Abdul Rahman is confident that the new Sarawak Cabinet line-up announced by Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg today is competent and will deliver the promises in the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) 12th Sarawak Election manifesto.
He was also confident that the new line-up will be able to continue more than 100 initiatives that have been implemented under the State government led by Abang Johari in the previous term.
āThis is in terms of demanding and protecting the rights of Sarawak under the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63) and the Federal Constitution, ensure continuous development in all parts of the state, especially in rural areas and deliver basic infrastructure for all citizens.
āIt is also to ensure smooth implementation of the Post-Covid-19 Development Strategy (PCDS) until 2030 to revive the economy after the pandemic as well as guarantee the future of the State,ā he said in a press statement today.
Fazzrudin said he fully supported the Sarawak Cabinet line-up and urged all leaders from the grassroots to the top leadership to give their full support to the new Sarawak Cabinet.
He believed Abang Johari’s wisdom in appointing the Cabinet members will ensure the continuity of the work done by GPS government for the next five years which are for the well-being and benefit of the people.
Meanwhile, during the unveiling of the new Sarawak Cabinet earlier today, Abang Johari said the line-up is committed to implementing all 34 points pledged in their 12th Sarawak Election manifesto for the next five years emphasising on the socio-economic development and well-being of the people.
He pointed out that the Sarawak government will execute policies for the digital era, sustainable development, decarbonisation and new economy to ensure economic prosperity, social inclusivity and environmental sustainability. ā DayakDaily
