Estate workers discover body parts of crocodile attack victim

The body parts were found inside a ditch of an estate by workers.

MIRI, Nov 27: The body parts of an Indonesian man reportedly attacked by a crocodile on Monday evening were found inside a ditch of an estate along the Miri-Bintulu coastal road at Sungai Telong here yesterday.

Miri police chief ACP Lim Meng Seah confirmed that the body parts belonged to that of Asbullah Daeng Situju, 37.


“The deceased had gone to the area on Monday (Nov 25) evening, at around 5pm, in search for jungle produce.

“One of the victim’s friend, who followed him to the area that day, saw him being attacked by the reptile,” he said.

The body parts were found by several workers of the estate on Tuesday at around 11.57am, he added.

The state wildlife department has been notified of the discovery. — DayakDaily
