KUCHING, March 9: Batu Kawah assemblyman Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian inspected work on several house rebuilding projects for fire victims in his constituency recently.
The rebuilding of these houses is considered urgent to replace those burned several months ago at RPR Batu Kawa Phase 1 and Desa Wira.
Dr Sim, who is also Minister of Local Government and Housing, provided financial aid for the rebuilding immediately after the fire occurred.
He is satisfied with the progress at the work site and is confident the fire victims can move into their new homes soon.
Besides assistance from Dr Sim, the Welfare Department also supported the victims.— DayakDaily
