KUCHING, May 27: Sarawak United Peoples’ Party president Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian says with the passing of Dato Sri Daniel Tajem, Sarawak lost a son while he has lost a family friend.
Dr Sim who is also Local Government and Housing Minister said Tajem has been an excellent model for the Sarawakians.
“We lost not only a family friend. He asked how my mother was when I ran into him during campaigning (for the 14th general election).”
“We also lost a son of Sarawak who fought hard for Sarawak. He was an excellent example for us to emulate,” said Dr Sim in a WhatsApp reply to DayakDaily.
Tajem passed away earlier today at 7.10am at his residence at Jalan Urat Mata, Kuching. — DayakDaily
