KUCHING, July 11: Dine-ins in restaurants and food premises will only be allowed when Sarawak enters the second phase of the National Recovery Plan (NRP).

The State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) revealed this in its latest guideline of Sarawak’s roadmap to recovery according to each of the four phases.

It emphasised that starting Phase Two, the public may eat meals outside home but subjected to standard operating procedures (SOPs) by the Ministry of Local Government and Housing.

The operating hours for restaurants, eateries and food premises will remain the same from 6am to 10pm until the fourth phase.

For all other sectors, their operating hours would be from 6am to 10pm in Phases Two and Three, and longer depending on respective business licences in Phase Four.

Not only that, the curfew for the whole of Sarawak would also be lifted once the State steps into the second phase.

In the meantime, the public is prohibited from gathering or loitering at public places without valid reasons from 12.01am to 5am every day.

Meanwhile on the workforce capacity of companies in the private sector, it is limited to 50 per cent for operations and management in Phase Two.

Full capacity would be permitted starting Phase Three but with full adherence to the health protocol SOPs.

SDMC also pointed out that full operation of the private sector can be considered on the condition 100 per cent of the workforce has completed their vaccinations with two doses. — DayakDaily
