Company donates RM300k to schoolchildren in Sarawak

KUCHING, Feb 3: PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited (PTTEP) donated RM300,000 to provide a comfortable and conducive learning environment to schoolchildren in Sarawak.

In a statement today, PTTEP said it is part of the company’s series of corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives to improve the quality of life of the community in the region.

According to its PTTEP Malaysia Asset head of assurance, regulatory and public affairs, Tengku Saifuzzaman Tengku Ahmad Shahruddin, they are committed to continuing the CSR initiatives for the betterment of the local communities.


“We hope our significant contribution will uplift the beneficiaries’ learning spirit to grasp knowledge to the highest level, be successful in the future and make the nation proud,” he said.

The initiatives commenced in nine identified rural schools and orphanages across the State under the We Care Sarawak Program in collaboration with the Malaysian Relief Agency.

A total of 516 beneficiaries from Baram, Belaga, Bintulu, Miri, Samarahan, and Sibu received contributions that included school and food supplies, personal hygiene products, and other basic needs for this year’s school session. — DayakDaily
