Communications Deputy Minister arrives in Kuching for 3-day working visit

KUCHING, May 3: Deputy Minister for Communications and Digital Teo Nie Ching arrived at Kuching International Airport last night on a three-day working visit to the region.

She is scheduled to meet Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg and the Minister of Utility and Telecommunication Datuk Julaihi Narawai today.

Teo is also expected to visit the Data Centre & Sub Sea Cable Landing Station before heading to Sibu tonight.

She will attend a briefing on the digital infrastructure development in Song the Malaysia Communications and Multimedia Communications at Song District Office tomorrow (May 4).

While there, Teo is expected to visit the Point of Presence (PoP) at SK Cardinal Vaughan Song, and the site of the National Digital Interconnection (JENDELA) Telecommunications tower in Nanga Sesawak, Song.

In the afternoon, Teo Nie Ching will attend RTM Sibu’s Gawai Raya Program before departing for Kuala Lumpur on Friday evening. — DayakDaily
