CM’s wife checks on 160-year-old mosque’s interior decoration project in Sibu

KUCHING, Jan 23: Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tun Tuanku Bujang went to Sibu to witness the progress of the interior decoration project of the 160-year-old Al-Qadim Mosque.

According to a news report from Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) today, the interior decoration project on one of the oldest mosques in Sarawak is expected to be completed within this year’s fasting month.

Shortly after that, she attended the MAKSAK Cares contribution presentation programme to 1,000 B40 civil servants from the North, Central, and Southern zones held at a local hotel in Sibu.


Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg has contributed RM100,000 for the MAKSAK Cares to fund the MAKSAK Cares PBT (Local Government Authority) Phase 2 Project which is managed by the Welfare and Social Bureau of MAKSAK Wanita Sarawak.

Juma’aini, also advisor for MAKSAK Wanita Sarawak, presented a cash voucher to seven representatives of 75 PBT staff in the Central Zone.

Earlier on, she also made an official visit to Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Abang Ali in Sibu to see the condition of the newly completed two-storey school administration building.

The construction of the new building costs RM3.5 million, and the Sarawak government contributed RM2.5 million to the school. — DayakDaily
