KUCHING, Sept 20: Those who have yet to decide on continuing their studies or are seeking employment, are encouraged to attend the SDGA Education and Career Fair 2022 on Sept 24 and 25.
The fair will take place at Ballroom 1 and Ballroom Foyer, UCSI Hotel Kuching, from 9am to 5pm.
Sarawak Dayak Graduates Association (SDGA) secretary general Jordan Anthony Layan said the fair is the association’s second education fair together with its inaugural career fair in collaboration with Social Security Organisation (Socso).
“The fair is opened not just to SPM and STPM leavers but also to undergraduates, fresh graduates, working adults and the general public seeking higher education and job opportunities,” he said in a statement today.
The participating institutions and companies so far are UCSI University Kuching Campus, FAME International Skills Academy, University of Technology Sarawak (UTS), Wawasan Open University (WOU), UNIMAS Business School, Naim Holdings Bhd, Borneo Skills Development Centre, PMB Investment, Senari Machinery Sdn Bhd, Pasti Nyala Sdn Bhd, Sarawak Metro Sdn Bhd, and Alliance Steel (M) Sdn Bhd.
Jordan said the participating companies will be able to offer over 140 vacancies for job seekers in Sarawak and help fresh graduates carve a career path in the right direction.
“For students who have not decided on a course or a university, you will have the opportunity to speak with university representatives to help chart your education journey.
“Fresh graduates, on the other hand, are able to apply for available job vacancies offered and seek advice on career progression from participating staff from the employers involved in this career fair,” he added. — DayakDaily
