KUCHING, May 10: Sarawak Dayak Graduates Association (SDGA) has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Wawasan Open University (WOU), entering into an agreement for the Value Partnership Programme (VPP) today.

According to a press release, the partnership supports two of SDGA’s strategic pillars which are skills development, as well as education and knowledge-sharing.

SDGA also supports the strategic thrust for the Sarawak government’s Post-Covid-19 Development Strategy 2030 to optimise human capital and social inclusivity for all Sarawakians, focusing on the B40 group to grant opportunity for reskilling and upskilling.

The MOA seeks to explore collaboration for educational and human capital development events that can benefit the community.

This agreement also seeks areas of cooperation on joint research and development projects.

The VPP also offers SDGA members and immediate family members a 20 per cent discount on published fees per enrolment.

The agreement signed between SDGA and WOU is valid for five years.

WOU is one of four institutions in Malaysia that offers open distance learning (ODL). The advantage of ODL is that candidates can still work and further their studies via online modules and assessments.

SDGA implored the Dayak community to sign up with SDGA to enjoy the benefits accorded by this partnership. Membership application can be accessed on their website at www.sarawakdga.org.my.

SDGA members are also encouraged to take advantage of this partnership to upgrade their academic qualifications. — DayakDaily
