Break fast this Ramadan at Imperial Hotel Kuching’s “JOM MAKAN” Buka Puasa Buffet dinner

KUCHING, March 19: Imperial Hotel Kuching is bringing back its “JOM MAKAN” Buka Puasa Buffet dinner throughout the month of Ramadhan daily till April 9.

This promotional buffet priced at RM139 per adult and RM69 per child is available at Imperial Garden Restaurant throughout the month of Ramadhan from 6.30pm to 9pm daily.


Those who book through the app can take advantage of the early bird price and pay RM59 onwards.

According to a statement circulated to the press, this year, the culinary team has prepared a magnificent array of authentic traditional delicacies and international favourites for the sumptuous buffet spread.

The selection includes Salad/Appetizer, Main dishes (on a rotation basis), Action Stall/Roast, Grill Station, Noodle Station, Bubur Corner, Street Corner and Desserts & Ice Cream Station.

Desserts available include ABC and fruit.

Mouth-watering starters include seafood on ice (prawns, mussels, bamboo clams, crabs), Umai Ikan, Umai Udang, Umai Ambal, Umai Octopus, Umai Kerang, Aneka Ikan Masin, varieties of Sambal, varieties of Keropok, varieties of Kerabu, Ulam-Ulaman and also Salads.

Among the must-tries is the succulent roasted Whole Lamb with Arabic Rice, the flavorful Baked Whole Fish with Chef’s Special Sauce, and Chicken Shawarma.

The Grill Station features an array of chicken, peppery minute beef, grilled seafood, and satay.

The soup station will feature a rotational menu including authentic Sup Ekor Lembu, Chinese Eight Treasure Soup, Classic Chinese Hot and Sour Soup, Tom Yam Soup, Sup Kambing Mamak, and the flavourful Sea Cucumber Soup.

There is also a Ramadan spread of delectable Bubur Pedas and Bubur Lambuk (Ground Rice Porridge with Mixed Spices), the classic Nasi Briyani, Nasi Tomato, traditional Daging Masak Hitam Manis, and Paku Pakis with Dried Shrimp.

Local authentic dishes include Sarawak traditional dish “Manok Pansoh” (Braised Chicken with Herbs cooked in Bamboo Culm) and many other delectable Sarawak delicacies such as Laksa Sarawak, Belachan Bee Hoon, Sotong Kangkong, Asam Laksa Mee, and Kolo Mee.

A wide selection of dim sum is also included in the buffet spread.

At the dessert counters, guests can enjoy selections of the chef’s homemade cakes and pastries, with various types of local and Nyonya kueh, ice cream as well as the ‘ABC’ counter (with various toppings).

For guests preferring their own private ‘Berbuka Puasa’ gathering or a special dinner, the hotel also caters to bigger group(s).

For the Dome Set, the price is RM99 nett per adult while the Semi Buffet + Dome Set is RM119 nett per adult.

The Private Full Buffet Dinner is priced at RM139 nett per adult and RM69 per child ages 5-12-years-old only.
