KUCHING, April 27: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a thunderstorm warning for Samarahan, Simunjan, Sri Aman, and Betong until 6 pm today.
According to an advisory notice released at 3.10pm, the anticipated weather conditions include heavy rainfall and strong winds.
The department said the warning is issued when there are signs of thunderstorm with rain intensity exceeding 20mm/hour or with rain fall expected to occur for more than an hour.
It added that a thunderstorm warning is a short-term warning valid for maximum of six hours for every release. — DayakDaily
