KUCHING, Jan 19: Residents of Kuching South who wish to apply for Bantuan Keluarga Malaysia (BKM) 2022 assistance may do so at Kuching South City Council (MBKS) headquarters lobby, Jalan Padungan here from today until Jan 21.
Inland Revenue Board Malaysia (IRBM) has set up a counter at the MBKS lobby which is open from 9am to 12 noon and 2.30pm to 4pm to assist the public with applications.
MBKS Mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng urged the residents of Kuching South to take the opportunity to register for BKM assistance.
“The opening of such a counter would benefit the surrounding residents as we understand that some people may face difficulties in getting to the IRBM office.
“As such, MBKS took the initiative to invite IRBM to open a counter to provide much needed assistance for Kuching South residents,” he said in a statement today.
Wee visited the counter this morning and briefed by IRBM Sarawak customer care officer Simon Kane Kibes on BKM and the application process for the assistance.
Wee also extended his appreciation to IRBM for approving MBKS’ application to set up the counter. — DayakDaily
