KUCHING, March 9: The Samarahan Health Office will be conducting active case detection (ACD) exercises at Kampung Asajaya Tengah, Kampung Asajaya Ulu and Kampung Asajaya Laut from tomorrow (March 10) until March 12 following the confirmation of half a dozen Covid-19 cases in Asajaya district.
The Samarahan Division Disaster Management Committee (DDMC) in a notice today said residents of the three villages have been urged to co-operate by staying at their respective residences while the ACD is being conducted.
Meanwhile, the police will also be stationed on site to control the movement of villagers starting at 8pm tonight (March 9) until the ACD exercise is completed.
Earlier, the State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in a press statement said there were six Covid-19 cases identified in Asajaya.
From these, three cases were close contacts identified from active contact tracing and two cases involved the Emperoh Jambu Cluster. All cases were asymptomatic.
The remaining one case was identified via symptomatic screening of an individual at the Asajaya health clinic. — DayakDaily
