KUCHING, Dec 17: Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg has appealed to Sarawakians to make the best choice for themselves, their families, community, and State when they go down to vote tomorrow.

This is the last appeal to all Sarawak voters on the last day of the 12-day election campaign period before polling tomorrow.

“I assure you, with the full mandate by the people of Sarawak to GPS (Gabungan Parti Sarawak), we will continue the efforts to ensure public security, political stability, and economic prosperity for Sarawak, today and the future.

“My GPS team will continue with the socio-economic development agenda to create new sources of wealth and generate more business and job opportunities for our youth and future generations.

“We will ensure Sarawak continues to prosper so that the people can enjoy the benefits of our well-planned, holistic, and inclusive economic growth and development,” said Abang Johari in a statement today.

In terms of Sarawak rights, he said the passing of the Bill to amend the Federal Constitution based on Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63) on Dec 14 proved GPS’s concern and capability in defending the interests of Sarawak and its people.

He thus urged Sarawak voters not to play with fire again and learn from the failure of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) government which only lasted 22 months due to weakness and instability.

Only with a strong, stable, and committed government like GPS could the people of Sarawak be best served.

He added that GPS has not only experience but also competency, integrity, and excellent track records.

“Make no mistake; we must continuously fight for Sarawak’s unity, harmony, autonomy, and prosperity. All of us in GPS are committed to continuing our fight to strive for a better Sarawak.

“Give GPS the chance to fight for you to create a better Sarawak for all of us. Support and vote for GPS for a stable, prosperous, and glorious Sarawak, to make Sarawak Developed by 2030.” — DayakDaily
