Missing man makes own way out of forest, found safe at roadside hut in Sri Aman

SRI AMAN, Sept 5: The search for 58-year-old Mangka Enting, who went missing after failing to return from the forest to hunt at Rumah Rebicca, Lipat Ulu Skrang, ended on the second day of the search and rescue (SAR) operation today.

In a report from the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), the operations control centre received information at 8.50am on the missing person’s whereabouts.

“Villagers informed that the victim had managed to make his own way out of the forest, approximately 1.5 km from the search location.

“The victim was subsequently found by villagers at Tanjung Kemiding, Lipat, where he was at a hut beside the main road,” said the report.

He was then handed over to his family members and the police before being brought to Betong Hospital for further examination and treatment.

The operation concluded at 10am today. — DayakDaily
